These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Akshaya Paathraa app and website. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using our services you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Account & orders
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Orders are confirmed only after we accept them. We may decline an order due to stock, delivery range, suspected fraud or operational reasons.
Product images are illustrative; minor variation in colour, garnish or packaging may occur.
Prices, taxes and delivery fees shown at checkout are final for that order.
3. Payments
We accept UPI and cash on delivery (where available). The accepted payment methods are shown at checkout.
For UPI orders, your order is reserved once payment is initiated and confirmed once the payment reference is verified.
If payment fails or remains unverified, the order may be cancelled and any deducted amount refunded to the original payment method as per the bank's timeline.
4. Delivery
We deliver only to serviceable pin codes shown at checkout.
Delivery time slots are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather or other factors outside our control.
Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address. Two failed delivery attempts may result in cancellation; perishable items may not be eligible for re-delivery.
5. Cancellations, returns & refunds
Cancellation — orders may be cancelled free of charge before the kitchen begins preparation. After preparation has started, cancellation is at our discretion.
Quality issues — if an item is damaged, missing or not as described, raise a complaint within 24 hours of delivery with photos. We will offer a replacement, store credit or refund.
No returns on perishables — for hygiene and food-safety reasons, prepared meals and freshly made food cannot be returned once accepted.
Refund timeline — approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. Among other things, you must not:
Place fraudulent orders or use stolen payment instruments.
Attempt to access another user's account or our backend systems without authorisation.
Reverse-engineer, scrape or copy any part of the app or website except as permitted by law.
Abuse our staff or delivery partners in any form.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the app and website — including the Akshaya Paathraa name and logo, product images, recipes, copy and design — is owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute it without prior written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akshaya Paathraa is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that order.
9. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
